In Lviv, illegal products for electronic cigarettes worth approximately 12,6 million UAH have been seized.
Detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security in Lviv seized over 79 thousand units of illegal e-cigarette products worth more than 12,6 million hryvnias during a search. The products were being sold without the required excise stamps.
Detectives from the territorial department of the State Bureau of Economic Security in Lviv seized over 79 thousand units of illegal e-cigarette products worth more than 12,6 million hryvnias during a search.
Detectives uncovered an illegal sales scheme and conducted eight searches. The organizers were selling products for electronic cigarettes – flavorings, POD systems, cartridges, nicotine, glycerin, and other related items – without the required excise stamps.
The pretrial investigation is being conducted under Part 1 of Article 204 – the illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation with the intent to sell excise goods, and Part 1 of Article 199 – the illegal manufacture, falsification, use, or sale of excise tax stamps under the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The operational support for the investigation is provided by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region, while procedural supervision is carried out by the Lviv regional prosecutor's office.
