According to the Unified State Register of Judicial Decisions, Andriy H. acted in collusion with another accomplice. He organized the transportation of a soldier who served as a machine gun operator in a motorized unit, from his place of duty to Lviv.
In addition, the defendant provided a military facility for temporary accommodation and advice on illegally crossing the border through the Zakarpattia region. For his services, Andriy H. received from the military 8,5 thousand dollars.
The defendant entered a plea agreement, admitting guilt and agreeing to testify against another participant in a separate criminal case. The court approved the agreement and found Андрей Х. guilty of organizing the illegal trafficking of a person across the state border, with the involvement of a group of individuals. He was sentenced to five years in prison, but the main sentence was suspended with a two-year probationary period. Additionally, he was prohibited from engaging in activities related to the transportation of people across the state border for one year. The verdict can be appealed.
