The educational prize for 2026, with a prize fund of up to 100,000 UAH, has launched in Lviv.
The Lviv city council has announced the launch of the "Lviv Educational Prize 2026." Educators can register by November 20 to compete for the title of the best teacher in the city and win up to 100,000 UAH. A total of 147 educators will receive the prize.
The Lviv city council has begun accepting applications for the Lviv Educational Prize 2026, according to a statement from the city's Department of Education and Culture on Monday, November 2.
The organizers are calling on educators who have achieved success to share their accomplishments and participate in the competition. "We are once again looking for talented, creative, and dedicated educators to recognize their daily work, professional achievements, and love for children. And, of course, to reward them appropriately," the department noted.
A total of 147 educators will receive awards of 35,000 UAH. The top performers in the three categories – teacher, kindergarten educator, and leader of an extracurricular activity – will receive 100,000 UAH each.
The competition will consist of three stages: registration by November 20, a practical session with children, and a final interview with the judging panel. The winners will be announced by the end of the year. Last year, a record number of 579 applications were received for the competition.
