Four medical institutions in Lviv have been reorganized.
Members of the Lviv city council voted to reorganize three dental clinics and a cosmetology clinic. The facilities were integrated into the Second Clinical Territorial Medical Association due to financial difficulties.
Deputies of the Lviv city council, during a meeting on October 29, voted to reorganize four municipal non-commercial enterprises: "Dental Clinic No. 1," "Dental Clinic No. 4," the Lviv City Public Health Dental Clinic, and the Lviv City Cosmetic Hospital.
According to the adopted decision, these enterprises ceased to operate as separate legal entities and became part of the municipal non-commercial public utility "Second Clinical Territorial Medical Association of Lviv."
The reorganization was caused by the unsatisfactory financial and economic situation of these institutions, which faced problems with timely funding of current expenses, including salaries, taxes, and utility payments. As stated in the explanatory note to the resolution, small, specialized institutions are unable to withstand competition and financial pressure, which creates risks of losing qualified staff and violating labor laws.
As of the end of September, the outstanding debt for salaries at Clinic No. 1 was 1.7 million UAH, at Clinic No. 4 – almost 3 million UAH, and at the Lviv City Cosmetic Hospital – over 520,000 UAH. In addition, there is a debt to suppliers and other institutions. The consolidation of these institutions with the Second Clinical Territorial Medical Association aims to create a more stable and capable system of providing medical services by consolidating management, personnel, material and technical, and financial resources.
