In Lviv, there is a request to open an underground passage for use as a shelter.

A resident of Lviv is requesting that a sealed underground passage near the "Azov-Halychyna" stop on Horodok Street, 357, be opened to use as a shelter during air raid alerts. The railway district administration has stated that the passage is privately owned, and therefore cannot be used as a shelter.

A resident of Lviv requested that a sealed underground passage near the "Azov-Halychyna" stop on Horodetska Street, 357, be opened so that people could take shelter there during air raid alerts.

According to her, many people work in the area where Gorodotska and Stantsiyna streets intersect, including in workshops. However, during alarms, they have nowhere to take shelter. The woman asked to repair the underground passage and to inform her about the location of the nearest shelters in the area from the "Fakro" store to the workshops "Azov-Halychyna".

The Central District Administration responded that the underground passage with an area of 350,7 m² is privately owned, according to state registration records, and therefore cannot be used as a shelter. The Administration advised residents to consult the list of official shelters on the Lviv City Council's GeoPortal in the "Safety" section.

The city still lacks sufficient shelters near public transportation stops, at bus stations, and in parks.
