Teenager on electric scooter hits elderly woman in Lviv
In Lviv, a 15-year-old scooter driver hit a 77-year-old woman on Ivan Franko Street. The injured woman was hospitalized. Police have launched an investigation under the relevant traffic safety violation article.
On Saturday, November 7, a traffic accident involving a teenager and an elderly woman occurred in the center of Lviv, on Ivan Franko Street.
According to the press service of the Lviv Oblast Police, a 15-year-old resident of Lviv, while driving an electric scooter, collided with a 77-year-old resident of the city. As a result of the accident, the woman sustained bodily injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 have opened a criminal case under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – Violation of applicable traffic rules. The penalty for this article includes a fine, correctional labor, restriction, or imprisonment for a term of up to five years.
Currently, law enforcement officials are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
