A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident in Stryy
On Friday, October 23, a DAF truck collided with a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle in the village of Rozvadiv, in the Stryi district. As a result, a 53-year-old motorcyclist died. A criminal investigation has been opened regarding the accident.
On Friday, October 23, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Rozvadiv, in the Stryi district.
According to preliminary information from the police of the Lviv region, a collision occurred on 17:00 involving a DAF truck, driven by a 38-year-old resident of the Rivne region, and a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle, driven by a 53-year-old resident of the Lviv region.
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist sustained injuries that were incompatible with life and died at the scene.
Following the traffic accident, investigators opened a criminal case under Article 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation regulations by individuals operating vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The penalty for this offense includes imprisonment for a term of three to eight years, with or without deprivation of the right to drive for a period of up to three years.
