Today, at 20:03, in the Lviv region, an air raid alert was issued due to the threat of attacks by combat drones.

The sound of the sirens indicates the signal "Attention to all!". According to former head of the operational and emergency communication management, Mykola Sennia, the siren sounds before an important message from authorities, particularly regarding an air threat or its cancellation. He noted that there are eight situations in which the siren is activated, two of which are an air alert and the cancellation of an air alert.

During wartime, sirens can indicate an air raid, a threat of biological, chemical, or radioactive contamination. Law enforcement officials advise that if the city's phone network is not working, there is no communication, and the power is out, and you are unsure whether you can leave your shelter, to rely on information from public loudspeakers. Announcements such as "The alarm has ended" may be broadcast, indicating that it is safe to leave the shelter.

In the Lviv region, there are several types of shelters, including storage facilities, radiation shelters, and simpler ones (basements, parking lots, etc.). In Lviv, an updated interactive map of shelters for residents of the municipal territorial community has been created. Currently, there are approximately 6 thousand such shelters. They are located in underground spaces in residential buildings and shopping centers.
