A working meeting took place at the Lviv Regional Military Administration with representatives from transport companies in the region. The participants discussed changes to the legislation on passenger transportation and new requirements for transport managers.

The legislative changes are intended to bring Ukrainian regulations in line with European Union standards. According to Law of Ukraine No. March 27 2025 of 4337-IX, the legal framework for the activities of transport managers, as well as the requirements for their professional competence and business reputation, have been defined.

The transportation manager will be responsible for organizing and overseeing transportation activities. Their responsibilities include monitoring the technical condition of vehicles, ensuring that drivers adhere to work and rest schedules, organizing transportation, and complying with road safety regulations.

The Ministry of Community, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine is reviewing changes to the Licensing Conditions for the provision of commercial road transport services. These changes aim to strengthen professional requirements for transport operators and improve the oversight of transport safety. The additional requirements will be implemented after their official approval and entry into force.
