Lviv region: Since October 12, there are two levels of air raid alert – yellow and red.
Starting on October 12, differentiated alerts for air threats have been introduced in Lviv region: yellow level indicates a threat from attack drones and will be sounded in specific areas, while red level indicates a threat of missiles or mass drone attacks across the entire region. The alert will consist of the sound "Attention to everyone" and a voice message, and will only be issued verbally, without sirens.
Starting today, October 12, the procedure for notifying the population in Lviv region about the threat of air strikes will change. This was announced by the regional military administration. The "Air raid warning" signal will be differentiated depending on the nature of the threat – at the yellow and red levels.
The yellow level will be announced in the event of a threat of the use of attack drones, and it will be communicated selectively by district within the region. The red level will be established in the event of a threat of missile, missile-drone, or mass drone attacks – at which point the signal will sound simultaneously across all of Львівщина. The signal will consist of an audible alarm and a short voice message indicating the level of threat.
The yellow level alert will last for 30 seconds and will be repeated three times, while the red level alert will last for one minute and be repeated twice. The order of announcing the end of the alert has also changed: the signal "All Clear" will only be given through a voice message, without the sound signal "Attention everyone"; the duration of the message is 20 seconds, and it will be repeated twice.
